One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest Deadline: 1/14/18 Available to: High School Freshmen through College Seniors Award Amount: 4 Awards from $75 – $1,000 The One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest is open to students who are at least eight years of age. You must submit a video between three and eight minutes that shares and highlights solutions to the issues discussed in the chosen sustainability topic(s) chosen from the list on the sponsor’s website. The film entry’s theme must be solution-based. The film should talk about an environmental/sustainability problem and then discuss what could be a potential solution to this problem. Videos may be submitted by either an individual or a group and animated videos of no more than 45 seconds will also be considered. Learn more about the One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest.
Elks Association Hope Scholarship The mission of the Florida State Elks Association HOPE Scholarship is to provide financial support for the educational needs of Florida high school seniors without which they would not be able to achieve their educational goals. The scholarship targets students who demonstrated leadership through participation in school activities, community service, and citizenship. Consideration is given to those students who have shouldered extra responsibility such as working throughout their high school careers to help provide support of siblings or family.
Miami Heat Scholarship The Miami HEAT Charitable Fund and BankUnited are teaming up to award $25,000 in scholarship funds to High School Seniors in Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe or Palm Beach schools. Scholarships are awarded based on excellent academic performance and outstanding community service. The application deadline is January 26, 2019. Scholarships include the following:

One (1) $5,000.00 Alec Kessler Student-Athlete Scholarship
Miami Dolphins NAT MOORE SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT PROGRAM The Nat Moore Scholarship Endowment will provide scholarships to graduating seniors from high schools in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe Counties. No restriction is placed on the student's choice of school or discipline of study. The number of scholarships awarded is based on the funding available and the number of quality applications received. The scholarships are primarily distributed directly to colleges over four years, which helps to ensure that the student remains in school. The maximum award amount is $10,000 and will be disbursed in increments of $2,500 per year for four (4) years.
