KFC REACH Educational Grant Program Scholarship Value: $3,000 Awards Available: 50 Award Deadline: September 28, 2017The REACH Educational Grant Program helps employees at participating KFC U.S. restaurants pursue their dreams of going to college. Employees of any age, any position, pursuing any degree can receive money to help them attend the accredited four-year or two-year college of their choice. The money can also be used at trade/vocational schools and for graduate study.
KFC Restaurant General Managers, Assistant Managers, Shift Supervisors and Team Members may apply for college tuition assistance funds. Managers who are selected will receive $3,000 for the academic year; previous REACH Grant recipients receive $2,500 and first-time winners receive $2,000. Employee-students can reapply for the money each year.
Scholastic Art and Writing Award Scholarship Value: $10,000 Awards Available: 75 Award Deadline: September 30, 2017Public, private, parochial, or home-school students in the US, Canada, or American schools abroad enrolled in grades 7–12 are eligible to participate in the Awards. Judging Criteria Originality – Work that breaks from convention, blurs the boundaries between genres, and challenges notions of how a particular concept or emotion can be expressed. Technical Skill – Work that uses technique to advance an original perspective or a personal vision or voice, and show skills being utilized to create something unique, powerful, and innovative. Emergence of a Personal Vision or Voice – Work with an authentic and unique point of view and style. Blind Judging The Scholastic Awards are adjudicated without knowledge of the artists/writers identity. Please make sure that your submission does not contain any personal information. Freedom of Expression Young artists and writers are free to explore any and all topics. There are no pre-defined prompts and no work is ever disqualified from the Scholastic Awards because of the nature of its content.
EdTA President's Leadership Scholarship • Award: $1,000 • Deadline: 9/1/17 • Description: This scholarship is for graduating seniors who are inducted members of the International Thespian Society. Emphasis is placed on the student’s troupe involvement, demonstrated leadership abilities and demonstrated leadership experiences both in and out of school. Financial need will be considered, but lack of need will not be a deciding factor.

The Gates Scholarship Award Amount: Full-Ride Scholarship Awards Available: 300 Deadline: September 18, 2017 Scholarship Description:The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective, full scholarship for exceptional, Pell-eligible, minority, high school seniors. Starting in 2018, the scholarship will be awarded to 300 top student leaders each year with the intent of promoting their academic excellence through college graduation, and providing them the opportunity to reach their full potential.
